Feel free to ask your own question at the bottom
of this page...
| 1. Why buy a heavy displacement
yacht? Doesn't it mean it will be slow? |
Heavy displacement
yachts make the best cruising yachts. The displacement makes
them more stable and also means they keep on tracking when
the sea state gets a little lively. Lighter yachts will
start to slam and yaw slowing them down.
What matters is speed accross the ground.
Our yachts track well and point high to windward ensuring
you arrive in good time. |
 |
| 2. Does one have to agree the
full specification on placement of an order? |
No. There are certain
items that have to be specified at the outset but others
can be added during the build process. Most customers have
a very good idea of what they are after and we tend to agree
most items at the beginning. |
 |
| 3. What is the build time for
a new yacht? |
One of the benefits
of ordering your new yacht with us is the degree of flexibility
in specification we can accommodate - so to a large extent
the delivery time will be dependant on you and your requirements!
On average you can expect a boat to be finished six to eight
months from the start date. |
 |
| 4. Can one reserve a build
slot? |
Yes. A £1000
deposit can be made to secure a build slot. On receipt of
a deposit we would then start the process of agreeing an
initial specification and a contract for building of a new
vessel. |
 |
| 5. Is there an owners club? |
Rustler has a very
active owners club. They have their own web site at www.rustler36.net.
There is also a Sadler & Starlight owners club at www.sadlerandstarlight.co.uk.
There is no Bowman club at present but we will be working
on that shortly. |
 |
| 6. Whats the point on buying
one of your yachts when I dont intend to go around the world? |
It's really about
quality. Quality of design, and quality of build.
The designs will keep you safe at sea, the way we build
them will make you proud to be an owner. Because of
this our yachts are sought-after and retain their value
well. |
 |
| 7. How much can I expect to
get for my yacht in 10 to 15 years time if I buy from new? |
Some yachts that
are being sold second hand are fetching more than they were
originally bought for. |
 |
| 8. What kind of back up service
can I expect to get? |
We pride ourselves
on the personal relationship we build with each customer
and the service that we offer. Our premises in Falmouth
are state of the art. We have winter lay up facilities for
up to 200 yachts and a 40 tonne slipway hoist. |
